The international relations of Office XVII of the General Inspectorate for Budget Policies (Ispettorato Generale per le Politiche di Bilancio - IGPB) are organized through a series of activities that have been initiated over the last years as a result of the different contacts that were established between the Inspectorate General for Budget Policies and the various international bodies and with similar offices of the financial Ministries of European and extra-European countries.

The different activities may be briefly summarized as follows:

· European Union PHARE Program Twinning Projects

· Annual meetings of OECD Senior Budget Officials

· Periodic meetings of other OECD working groups

· Periodic meetings of other working groups outside OECD: CIAT (Centro Interamericano de Administraciones Tributarias), IFAD (International Forum on Accountancy Development), IFAC (International Federation of Accountants), UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development), etc.

· Study visits and meetings with foreign delegations

· E-Government for the Development project
