In order to guarantee the correct application of the SIOPE codes, the Decrees of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of February 18, 2005, have prescribed the definition of a "Codes Glossary" for each sector, whose instructions shall be followed by the public bodies for the coding of revenue and expenditure titles.

The first glossaries are provisional drafts that will be amended after the end of the pilot trial, whose results will allow to refine the definition of some of the entries. The Codes Glossaries of the Regions and of the Local Authorities are scheduled to be published by November 30, 2005.
