Paragraph 2 of Article 2 of the February 18, 2005 Decrees of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, provides that the treasurer/cashier of every public body shall transmit the following information to the SIOPE system:

- coded information for every payment and collection operation,

- monthly liquid assets.

The "Rules for information exchange between the treasurers and the Bank of Italy (Banca d'Italia)" define the technical procedures for data transmission.
