The Draft Budgetary Plan (DBB) was established by Regulation (EU) No 473/2013 which introduced a new monitoring and assessment cycle of the budget policies of the Countries in the euro area.
Article 6 of the Regulation states that, by 15 October of each year, the Member States shall transmit to the European Commission and the Eurogroup a draft of the DBP for the following year which shall comprise a series of tables that show:
Attached to the DBP is a methodological description of the criteria used to formulate the forecasts.
The Draft Budgetary plan (DBP) has been transmitted to the European Commission, the Eurogroup and the Parliament. The Document contains the macroeconomic assessment and the priority actions of the Government, the updating on the progress of the National Reform Program – especially as concerns the level of response to the specific recommendations of the European Commission - and the fiscal package for 2024 by type of intervention and its financial impact (as a percentage of GDP).
